Katrina SmaleHost: Katrina values inspiring, challenging, and nurturing students and owes this to her diverse experience in other settings prior to becoming a teacher. One of her aims as a teacher is to validate students and make them feel valued. She believes that giving students the opportunity to achieve and excel enables personal growth and is important for teachers to consider to help build student confidence.

There are eight parts of speech in the English language and they help indicate the role a word plays in a sentence. This class will enable students to understand the different components of speech including: verbs, nouns, adverbs, etc. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the differences between each component, as well as engaging in activities that will allow them to put their new or refreshed knowledge into practice. This class is great for any age as the parts of speech are used every time you write!
